Snow day

We're having our first real snowfall of the season here!

Part of me never gets too old for the excitement of school being closed. On the other hand, the one thing I don't miss about Boston is the weather.

I sent the kids off to our daycare provider for the day anyhow, so I can concentrate on the mountain of stuff I need to get done before I leave for the Bay Area on Thursday.

Just Doo It.

Last night, I auditioned for the community chorus at Nearby University. It could have gone better, but it went well enough. Mostly, I was amused by the following conversation:

Director: I see you sang with $WOMENS_CHORUS at $NEW_ENGLAND_INSTITUTION. When was that?

Astra: A long time ago...

Director: Did you sing with $DIRECTOR_1?

Astra: No, with $DIRECTOR_2.

Director: I see, $DIRECTOR_2. And was $DIRECTOR_3 still there?

Astra: Yes, I sang with her as well.
