Snow day

We're having our first real snowfall of the season here!

Part of me never gets too old for the excitement of school being closed. On the other hand, the one thing I don't miss about Boston is the weather.

I sent the kids off to our daycare provider for the day anyhow, so I can concentrate on the mountain of stuff I need to get done before I leave for the Bay Area on Thursday.

I assure you, Boston is none too anxious for your storm to hit us tomorrow, either ;).

I *like* snow, but enough feet of it have fallen already this winter.

People at work were discussing the possibility of an "unscheduled leave day" tomorrow, and I was kind of confused - there's barely enough snow for snowballs, much less work closing! (at least downtown, anyway)

We've been here 4 1/2 years and I'm still not used to it. Part of it is too mny people down here don't know how to drive in snow. Schools will close if there's a forecast of 3 inches of snow - even if it doesn't actually snow! Tomorrow morning, though, there are predictions of ice so it may at least be slippery.

On the plus side snowy days are great to go out and do things since no one else is out doing them!
