Three Dead Mice
DH came home Friday afternoon with a bunch of mousetraps, so we set out a snap trap and a couple of glue traps on the counter by the soap. The glue traps completely failed to catch anything, but the snap trap worked like a charm, dispatching three mice over the weekend. Last night, the trap failed to catch anything and the soap did not display any new toothmarks, so I think we are winning.
I think the mice are drawn to the counter by the smell of the scraps in the compost bucket, but when they get there all they find is a bar of soap, so they end up eating that. But then they find the peanut butter! Yummy! Snap!
