June Road Trip #3 -- the preview

Heading out to a conference on Sunday.

Sometime Thursday night/Friday morning, I will make my way to Cambridge, MA, where I'll meet up with the rest of the family, and we'll be there until the 4th.

Plans include:
7/1 - Museum of Science outing (except for the scientist)
7/2 - Dinner mob at [livejournal.com profile] chenoameg's. Around 6pm-ish.
7/3 - Find a place to go see fireworks.

For further details, particularly if you want to be included in further planning, email me or DH. Or comment here.

(I will be so done with travel when I get back home...)

are you going to be popping into the CfA at all?

Yeah, that's where this scientist is heading when the rest of the family heads to the MoS on 7/1. :)

There's plans for a lunch mob in the works -- to either Lucky Garden or Boca Grande. You're welcome to come!

Fireworks on the 3rd? Do we have those?

(shumashi in her LJ said something about a fireworks plan with nuclearpolymer and dcltdw, on the 4th; if you're staying *through* the 4th as opposed to *until* the 4th, which I can't quite tell from the way you said it... :) )

We are purposely trying to avoid the Esplanade on the 4th, and anyway we're leaving before the festivities start.

I recall that many area communities have smaller fireworks displays on the 3rd, and that seems better suited to small children such as ours. I'm not having much luck finding info on such things on the web, though, so if you locals could pass on any information to us, we'd appreciate it!

I'll have to wait and see what mood my stomach is in that day!

The Globe Calendar will tell all on Thursday.

The 3rd has the esplanade run through with fireworks. Not as long as the 4th, but still worth seeing from all the usual places.

And I would love to be kept informed of your wanderings. Not sure if I'm arriving in time for the MoS, but definately for the dinner mob on Saturday.

I've got a bunch of free exhibit hall passes for the MoS. Someone should take them off my hands.
