Travel plans

So, we are heading out to Chicago (or at least somewhere in the vicinity) on or about 12/22. We are heading back on or about 12/29. We are driving (because we are crazy people). Anybody heading out that way, too, and want to meet up? Anybody going to be in northern Indiana, Ohio, or western Pennsylvania and want to meet up and possibly help find lodging for a family of four?

Also, I am flying to Austin in January for the AAS meeting, because I'm not that crazy. Anybody want to meet up there?


Perhaps I should make a concerted effort to move our yearly Midwestern pilgrimage to the summer, in any case.

Aargh, we did the chicago and northern indiana routine for thanksgiving this year instead of christmas.

We always go to upstate New York for Thanksgiving - the Chicago trip generally happens at Christmas.

We sometimes do Chicago then, though recently my grandmother has been going off to visit my cousins then. I'll have to remember to poke you guys if we do it again.

Hm, Mike & I are driving up from Alabama to Boston around the same date range. Our paths will presumably cross somewhere in there, but I have no idea whether this can turn into a useful plan.

Wow, that's probably a longer road trip than ours! It would make more sense for you to just stop by our place near DC, in that case.

And yes, that is an invitation to come by if we're both in town. :)

Oh, hm, we might just be able to do that. :) I am not completely sure of our timings yet, though. I won't have a US phone number until I get to Boston, but my UK phone number (see my Memories) will be working.
