Blogging nightmare

Last night, I had a dream about posting some item to my other blog, the one that I write under my real name. But after posting, I saw that in my haste, I'd posted it using the pseudonym and email address I use for LJ. I then panicked, realizing that now everyone would be able to come and read my LJ and know exactly who I was and I was going to have to go and review the archives and lock all my posts. It was very upsetting.

...or you could just not worry about it. Remember back when people didn't have to worry about expressing their thoughts, when speech was truly free? Let's bring those times back. We're scientists, not politicians or celebrities (not that the latter groups of people shouldn't be allowed to speak their mind either).

Actually, my biggest worry is potential employers reading about me kvetching about my kids. Or at least getting the impression that I'd make a lousy professor.
