Baby talk

DS2's favorite vocalizations right now see to be either "auugh, auugh" (usually while doing his Godzilla impression) or "dada, dada."

DH insists he says "dada" when DS2 sees him. I feel left out.

Im sorry you feel left out. Pad knows your pain though. When he is home with the kids and I am at work, apparently Aodhan walks around saying "mama" all day long, apparently looking for me.

Well, gratifyingly enough, when I came in last night and DS2 heard my voice, he immediately turned and crawled over to me and gave me a great big smile. So at least I get that much.

Well...so, my first word was "kitty".

And my second was "daddy".

My mom was getting pretty pissed at this point.

DS1's first word was "meow." He spoke Cat before he spoke English, really. Whenever he saw a cat, he'd meow at it, and the cat would turn to see where the other cat was.

My first words were "cookie" and "daddy" followed swiftly by "no" (accoriding to my mother, who still believes I like my dad better, which is crazy, but whatever)

DS1 seems to like mommy better right now, but maybe that's in part because he sees a lot more of me.

I think most children go through phases where they like one parent more than the other, but in the end, saying that you like one parent over the other sounds to me like saying you like one child over the other. So yeah, whatever.
