Got the last injection for this round of treatment this morning. Didn't have to get blood drawn, which was a bit of a relief.

They've been monitoring my beta-HCG levels, since they indicate the size of the tumor. The numbers have not gone up, anyway, which is good. My oncologist wants to see the numbers drop by a factor of two by next week, or else she's going to change my medication and treatment schedule.

Anyway, I get a two-week rest from chemo for now. I'll be allowed to breastfeed again by next week!

So I feel like this is just another place-holder entry. Don't really know anything yet. Nothing Earth-shattering to report. Same old, same old...

At some point I decided, what's the point in being an advocate of women in science if you never actually do anything about it?

So next week, I'm going to talk about my experiences of having children during grad school to grad students and post-docs and anyone else who cares enough to listen at the institution from which I just graduated.

I'm not quite sure what I'm going to talk about. But it's scheduled, so I've got to come up with something.

It's not quite so much that I can't think of anything to say. It's more that I'm not sure how to limit the discussion...
