School Days
Sep. 8th, 2004 10:21 amDS1 started school today! Well, pre-school anyway.
Due to delays on the metro, we were late coming in. (The metro webpage says "Rail service may be adjusted system-wide in response to extreme weather or other area-wide events." So yes, it is drizzling out, but hardly extreme. Funny that there's no mention anywhere about construction delays... *grumble*) He was initially excited about the train ride in, but got bored with it and was ready to get off about halfway there. I couldn't blame him.
I think he would have done just fine at drop-off, but there were other kids crying. After looking at them, he got kind of clingy and bawled when I left. Ah well. I suspect most of the criers were the kids who hadn't been to daycare before. I'm sure the DS1 was just fine soon after I left. If nothing else, when lunchtime rolls around he gets to unpack his lunch, and I'm sure he'll get a big thrill out of that.
