Happy All Saints' Day
Nov. 1st, 2005 09:32 amBased on last years' poor turnout for trick-or-treating, we happily accepted a friend's invitation to dinner and trick-or-treating in her neighborhood last night. And indeed, there were tons of kids out on her street. On the other hand, the basket of candy we'd left out on our porch was only about half-gone.
DS1 dressed as a bat, in a costume DH and I threw together from a black bed sheet. DS2 was a bear, in a store-bought costume that was way to big on him last year, and a bit too tight on him this year. DS1 was the oldest of the group, and an old hand at the trick-or-treating business. DS2 was the youngest, but he caught on pretty quickly. While he couldn't manage to say "trick-or-treat," he did say "dank" (thank you) and "bye" quite clearly.
