Finding Harmony
May. 10th, 2008 11:16 amI'm singing Beethoven's 9th tonight with the NIH Philharmonia tonight, and we made the front page of the Washington Post today!
Now granted, the article is mostly about the scientists who play in the orchestra, not the scientists who happen to sing the chorus, but still, pretty cool. It's always interesting how so many people in STEM fields are also musicians, and I could write an whole big post about my own personal connection to music and how I feel incomplete unless I'm performing with some kind of musical group, but no time right now.
Also, the conductor, Nancia, is totally wonderful, and she is making me think about dusting off my violin just so I can play for her on a more regular basis. Because just what I need right now is more time sinks.
