California Exercise Program

I started a new exercise program today. I call it "the California Exercise Program."

You see, my biggest obstacle to getting exercise is lack of time. However, when I go away to a conference, I'm off my regular daily schedule anyway. When the conference is in California, I'm getting up at 5am anyway, so why not use those early morning hours anyway? And, I'm going to be in California for three meetings in three months.

So! I managed to run a mile this morning! Which is impressive merely because I haven't run in nearly two years.

Tomorrow morning, I'm thinking of hitting the pool. But first, I need to find out if it's heated. :)

I found out that you can rent bicycles at this hotel. So if I go for a bike ride on Sunday, I could make it a 3-day triathlon! Ha! This is funny only because I'm a bit punchy, I suspect.

The only problem is what to do in the weeks between trips. Maybe go running on the weekends. But exercising mid week is still a problem. Hrm.

Further updates on my progress will be filtered to my "exercise" filter. Let me know if you want in, if you aren't already.

A 3-day triathlon! That's genius. And please add me to the exercise filter if I'm not already on it.

Aw, if only you weren't so far away. We have a heated pool, all you have to do is jump down from the living room porch. (Not really, but close enough.)

For mid-week, I tend to stick with light stuff, ie sit-ups, push-ups, and the occasional trunk work if I'm feeling antsy and have the time. This may have nothing to do with what you want for exercise though. :)

I always forget about weight training... that's a good idea for mid-week stuff.
