My work computer is an Intel MacBook. I chose a laptop because I go back and forth a lot between my two offices and work a bunch at home, too. And I chose a Mac for religious reasons.

I purchased a nice, big flat-screen monitor for my office a the University with my research funds, and was working away happily at it yesterday, until I went to give my talk. But then, it refused to talk to the projector at all. No matter how many times I asked it to "detect displays" it wouldn't do anything.

Today, I am at my Goverment Lab office, and I find that my computer won't talk to the monitor here, either. This is the first time I've ever had a problem connecting any Mac laptop to a display.

What to do?!? Suggestions and expressions of sympathy are equally welcome. Attempts at proselytizing are not.

EDIT: Hm, looks like rebooting seems to have done the trick. I'm still annoyed that I had to reboot, though. *grump*
