Did I say I'd never compare my kids?

Last night, I finally got around to digging out the box of next-size-up clothes for DS2. It's the set of clothes DS1 wore his first fall, too.
It's interesting -- even though DS2 weighed more than a pound more than DS1 at birth, he's now a couple pounds less than DS1 at the same age. So even though DS1 was born in mid-summer and DS2 was born in late winter, they can still both wear the same set of fall weather clothes. Go figure.

Date: 2004-10-13 09:31 am (UTC)I long ago decided that everyone has advice about parenting, whether they have kids or not, and that just because someone believes that they should raise their children in a certain way, I don't have to do the same. I won't criticize their parenting decisions, and they shouldn't critcize mine. For instance, I know I will always be a working mother. And sometimes I might regret that I don't spend all day with my kids, but I will make the most of the time I do have with them.
It only bugs me when someone makes hurtful comments about my parenting, whether the comments are directed at me or not. (What kind of a mother would ?)
Have faith in your abilities as a parent. You know your child best, so you decide what best for your family.
