Dear dc_metro,

I'm sorry, but I'm just not interested in DC Eagle's Dyke Nights. I am not interested in learning about spanking, dildoes, handcuffs, or other sex toys.

Please understand, it's not that I disapprove of lesbianism or transgenderism -- I am perfectly happy to let you go your way and I go mine. But I find these advertisments to be slightly offensive. Seeing them posted once a month is bad enough, but multiple ads for the same event are a little much, regardless of what event you are advertising.

I'm sorry to say it, but you are probably what the religious right are referring to when they talk about GLBT-s actively promoting a queer lifestyle.

Sometimes I feel like I stepped into the wrong community here, what with the kinds of user icons I see. Perhaps I am just overly sensitive. And perhaps I will just quietly step back out of the community.
