Punkin Chunkin

Saturday, mostly on a whim, we went to the Annual World Championship Punkin Chunkin. DH seriously underestimated the amount of time it took to get there, but we might not have gone had we known the true length of the journey.

It is truly amazing how high and how far a pumpkin can be launched through the air.

I kept teasing DH that the real reason he wanted to go was because of the hick in him. He insisted it was because he admired the engineering challenge. The truth lies somewhere in between.

Last weekend, I made a couple of loaves of pumpkin bread for various events, and still had about half the can left. ( I made bread and cheesecake )
