A Series of Random Updates

1. Our household has collectively spent far too much on car maintenance this week.
   
2. Living in a Washington, DC suburb means that all I've been hearing about is the upcoming inauguration. Nearby University has sent out numerous lengthy emails about traffic and parking which can be summarized in three words: Just Stay Home. When I went to pick up the rental car the dealership provided while my car was being serviced, another guy was there to rent a car for his daughter. "She's coming for the Inauguration." We all looked at each other knowingly, and it turned out that all four of us there were planning to avoid downtown like the plague on Tuesday.
   
3. However, I do plan to watch the Festivities with a friend who has a much better TV than me.
   
4. I need a new phone:
   
   
5. Despite being on another round of antibiotics, I seem to be getting sicker rather than better.
   
6. But at least DS2 is over the stomach flu.
   
7. Guess which members of the household got flu shots this season. Hint: it wasn't DH or DS1.
   
8. I'm going to the Bay area January 30-Feb 6. I should have some time over the weekend to see people, including a_wry. Anyone else I should look up?
   
9. DS1 is now green belt/brown stripe, or 5th gup in taekwondo. Next level is brown belt, at which point he will be in the advanced class.
   
10. I can't think of a 10th item.
