Best moment of the conference so far

Speaker (to someone in the front row): Could you please poke him?

[She pokes him. The Chair stops snoring, stirs, and settles back down.]

Speaker: I'm glad I'm being so soothing.

that's almost as good as the UK National Astronomy Meeting (equivalent of the AAS in the US) where, on the morning after the conference dinner, a rather hung-over guy got up to give his talk. He stood there for a second, then went horribly green and threw up all over the overhead projector, then rolled up his sleeve, used his forearm to wipe the vomit off the glass, then continued on with his talk!

That reminds me of company meetings on the cruise ship during a storm, where people kept dashing out of the room after one to many rockNroll. Nausea is fun!
