astra_nomerDH says we can't have a Christmas Tree. So yesterday, we went to Home Depot and got a Solstice Shrub. We had planned for something a bit smaller than what we ended up with, so we need at least another string of lights. DS1 and I made a paper chain out of construction paper last night to put on it. Still need to dig out our box of ornaments. Not that we actually have many.
So all day yesterday, this song has been going through my head:
Most have cones for seeds,
most have needles for leaves.
C is for conifer, that's my kind of tree

So if you see a Christmas tree,
or a stack of newspapers,
or a 2x4 frame of a house.
It's probably made from pine trees
and pine trees are conifers,
